You certainly don't have to apologize because you don't like being pressured into something that you don't want. Or is not ready for. Sometimes people who lack self-esteem take a rough countenance, and are more critical of others as an attempt to elevate themselves by diminishing the station of others. In other words they're envious or they're ignorant. While you may be living "authentically" in the gender that you feel is right for you you still struggle with gender identity issues everyday. So long as you keep it proportionate on your path to gender congruence you'll be just fine. Now if only you were 5'9" in your bare feet...
